PILOTS INITIATIVE

To provide fast and efficient help during times of disaster, an international network of pilots who can quickly access airplanes in order to monitor the situation or provide assistance by air is vital. HPI for example had been contacted after the Beirut explosion in 2020 with the request to rapidly deploy a team of fire fighters. In response, HPI reached out within their own network to find a plane and crew that could undertake this task as fast as possible. Setting up such an international network of pilots who can be contacted and deployed quickly can help improve a situation fast. This is why HPI is currently working on setting up such a network.
